Megalopolis “Big City”, was founded circa 371 BC by Epaminondas. It was the first large urbanization in rustic Arcadia. Its theater had a capacity of 20,000 visitors, making it one of the largest ancient Greek theaters. It became the foremost city of Arkadia, and the mint for the federal currency in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC
